Magpa-hanggang ngayon, patuloy pa ding sinusulong nina Senator Ping Lacson at Imee Marcos ang pagiging Presidente ni Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte sa bansa sa 2022.
Para kay Senato Lacson, sa mga bata at fresh na mukha sa politics, ang top choice niya pa din na susunod na uupo sa pagka-Presidente sa bansa ay walang iba kundi si Mayor Sara Duterte.Sa isang weekly forum sa Senado noong Huwebes, sinabi ni Lacson,
"Speaking of Mayor Sara Dutere, make no mistake, If the next leader of our country would emerge from the young, fresh and new faces in national politics, my top choice right now is Sara Duterte."
Dagdag pa niya,
"She’s strong-willed, stern, vibrant, progressive-minded, and has obviously good leadership qualities."
Habang patuloy ang pag-sulong at pag-usbong ng mga batang pinuno sa Senado, sinabi ni Lacson na si Mayor Duterte ang nagii-stand out para sa kaniya.
Saad ni Lacson,
"I’m not endorsing her. I’m just saying that among the known young leaders, if we choose from young and fresh faces in national politics, I think you can agree with me na si Sara Duterte talaga ang tinitignan."
Pagpapatuloy niya,
"Not only because she’s the daughter of the President pero yung track record nya rin pati yung experience nya as a local government official in Davao says it all."
Samantala, sa isang panayam naman ni Senator Imee Marcos sa ABS-CBN News Channel, sinabi niya na para sa kaniya, si Mayor Sara pa din ang kaniyang "strongest" candidate para sa 2022 presidential elections.
Ani Marcos,
"Sa akin talaga, strongest presidential candidate for 2022 is Mayor Sara. No ifs or buts about it."
Dagdag ni Marcos,
"She has the connection with the people. She has the same authenticity that we love and fell in love with President Duterte for."
Gayunpaman, nilinaw ni President Rodrigo Duterte na para sa kaniya ay ayaw niya talagang patakbuhin ang kaniyang anak na si Mayor Sara sa pagka-Presidente sa bansa ngunit aniya ay kung ano man ang desisyon ni Mayor Sara ay kaniya na lamang itong susuportahan.
